ClearSCADA DNP3 Protocol testing with DNP3 Outstation Server IED Simulator


dnp3 protocol server outstation simulator with ClearSCADA HMI. In this, following dnp3 groups , we tested Binary Input, Double bit binary input, counter input, analog input, analog output, Binary output, octet string point, and the CROB, Analog output commands are tested the Solicited and Unsolicited message are tested independently. we used TCP IP communication. further, we can use serial and UDP also.

DNP3 protocol Multi-drop communication with Outstation client master Sim...


dnp3 simulator software used to demonstrate multi drop architecture of protocol. A multi-drop connection is similar to a RS-485 configuration, where the master sends the same data along the same line to all its outstations, each with its own unique address, but only the outstation addressed by the master needs to reply. in this we connected 3 outstations to one master. master get all outstation data ( BI, BO, AI, AO) and send commands (BO, AO)to outstations.

DNP3 (IEEE 1815) Linux Software Development Kit (SDK)


FreyrSCADA DNP3 (IEEE 1815) Demo Linux Shared Library includes simple (Server & Client C programs )example using a Command window and command line inputs.

The source code will allow you to quickly compile your own examples with the features of your existing development environment to work with our DNP3 (IEEE 1815) library.

FreyrSCADA DNP3 (IEEE 1815) Linux SDK contains Shared Library(.a) (precompiled library), Static link lib, Demo Server & Client programs, CodeBlock Demo console project files, Doxygen .

We used gcc compiler to create the Shared Library, sample test projects.
gcc Compiler Version: gcc 4.6.3 - i686. 


This evaluation package allows you to:
  • Access product manual(API documentation)(pdf, Doxygen html)
  • Browse the DNP3 (IEEE 1815) library API documentation
  • Study the source code of the DNP3 (IEEE 1815) examples provided
  • Modify and compile the DNP3 (IEEE 1815) examples
  • Create your own DNP3 (IEEE 1815) programs and test with leading test tools like (ASE,...)
  • You can use the source code of the application examples and modify them according to your needs.

Minimum system requirements:
  • Ubuntu, Feroda, Debian...(All Posix Compliant Operating Systems)

FreyrSCADA DNP3 (IEEE 1815) Client Simulator was originally developed to test the DNP3 (IEEE 1815) stack. 
We developed the stack to run multiple hardware platform (windows, Linux, RTLinux, QNX..). So we had to test multiple platform. At that time, our engineers developed the test simulation application. 
We tested this simulator with multiple test software available in the market. 

Our support team has young, dynamic and professional team of engineers. Our Engineers will provide the quick and accurate solution as per customer requirement. 
We can add up to 50 Client node in the simulator. Every Client node will work independently. 
Simulator window shows the Connection status & Connected Serial port number tcp, udp ip and port number.

DNP3 (Distributed Network Protocol) is a set of communications protocols used between components in process automation systems. Its main use is in utilities such as electric and water companies. 

Usage in other industries is not common. It was developed for communications between various types of data acquisition and control equipment. It plays a crucial role in SCADA systems, where it is used by SCADA Master Stations (a.k.a. Control Centers), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).
It is primarily used for communications between a master station and RTUs or IEDs.
